This is a poem I just wrote recently. Even though I'd like to elaborate on the accompanying post, I'm too busy with some work right now. So please enjoy the poem. You may have to click on the poem to enlarge it and read.
I Won't Just Lay Down and Die
I won't say it's high and mighty
But I won't just lay down and die
Torn rags and broken knuckles
Smeared blood, all over
And the tear scraping down
Oh, I know you want me to rest
To call it a day and go to bed
Amorous call of bread and wine
And the sensual touch of a pillow
Open a bottle, champagne and ice!
Drink up hearties, and a toast to life
Cozy hold to a naked bosom
And a crown and a throne
Just to come by
Oh, I know no one's offering
All but not a dream...
I'll dress my wounds
I'll rest while I can
Have a drink of water
And wait till sun blooms
And then I'll punch again
Some bones are broken
But some still can stand
I'll cry in my womans lap
Yet I'll fight till it's on
And I'll stay all along
Oh, I won't say it's high and mighty
But I just won't lay down and die

This is something about human courage. I wrote this from my perspective. It has nothing to do with passive aggression or any bitterness or anger. It's just my self expression of how I refuse to bow down.
I don't want to elaborate on this. It's something I'd take a while to explain, and still could fail. That's how it came out as a poem in the first place. :)
In a theme/work non-related note:
I'd like to dedicated this to the victims of the 'Great Asian Tsunami' of 2004. As the celebration of that fateful day draws near (the boxing day - 26 December), the memories still linger me strongly.
Everyone lost, every single one was my relative. I'll never forget the dreadful sights. I'll never forget how my people were devastated and how they stood up again. That I'll remember always as the emblem of courage.
To that, I bow!
